As Asian immigrants to the US, there were many reasons for our opportinities in this blessed land. The most important one was the access to quality education. In our small way to contribute back, we instituted this scholarship for students already admitted to US universities.  Its been your hard work thus far, lets help by making your dream possible. 

Prize: Our 2018 scholarship contest provides for one award of $500 to the winning student. 

 All candidates must submit an original essay to the question - Why do you deserve the Bed and Wood scholarship in terms of your life story and your financial need?

Rules and Eligibility

1) Who is eligible to apply for the Scholarship?

All US based undergraduate and graduate students of SAARC countries currently enrolled in an accredited college or university for the 2018 academic year. 

2) What are the timelines?

Every year, you can submit until Dec 1. Scholarship will be finalised and awarded by February 1. 

3) What proof do we require?

The winner will be notified by email and provided 2 weeks to confirm origin and proof of enrollment. They will also need to sign a publicity form so we can announce this. 

4) How will the essays be judged?

All essays shall be evaluated based on  the story of the essay, the values in the essay and the perceived benefit to the recipient. 

5) How does the winner receive their scholarship?

The $500 cash prize will be sent directly to the financial aid offices at their respective university or college. We will confirm with the university before sending the payment.
